Yay! It's release day at My Favorite Things! The Design Team and some MFT Friends are sharing a bunch of inspiration so you can see a lot of possibilities using the new products. For me, this is super helpful and I hope it is for you as well. :-)
Idea:
- I got inspired by cards my crafty friend and fellow DT member Marieke made. She used the large sentiment dies that came out in October and November with white letters on kraft card stock. I loved the look so much, I wanted to make something similar. Instead of kraft card stock, I used a warm gray but besides that, you can easily see where my inspiration came from. Check out her October card here and her November card here. They are absolutely stunning!
Instructions:
- die cut the large sentiment from white card stock
- cut a piece of warm gray card stock to size and glue down the white letters. Use the white leftover die cut piece as a guide on where to put your letters
- stamp, color and die cut the fox and the greenery. I used watercolor markers and colored pencils for this step
- adhere the fox and the greenery to your panel using glue and foam tape. Make sure to place the image in a spot where you can still read the sentiment well but also where it looks well balanced on your project (like here, in the center but a bit below the largest letters)
- glue your panel to a card base
- decorate your card with white marshmallow sequins
Tip:
- If you're looking for more ways to use large sentiment dies, check out my card I made using the die cut inlay technique here -> Sending Christmas Joy
