Merry Gift Bag * MFT Countdown (1)

Hello and welcome to the last day of our MFT October Release Countdown. Only one more day until the release. Yay!

 Idea:
  • Instead of making a card, I wanted to decorate a gift bag and use some of the wonderful patterned paper.

 Instructions:
  • for the merry sentiment, die cut the word once from patterned paper and one or two times from white card stock
  • glue all word die cuts on top of each other to make the sentiment sturdier
  • die cut a Tall Tag from vellum
  • cut a piece of patterned paper (in my case, light blue with snowflakes) to fit behind the vellum tag, I did this by eye
  • cut another piece of patterned paper to fit on the bottom third of the bag, glue it to the bag
  • glue the sentiment on the vellum tag
  • fill your gift bag and close the top by folding it in
  • use a paper clip to keep the bag closed and to add the tag and paper to the bag (I did not glue them down)
  • stamp, color and die cut a cute penguin and add him to the tag using foam tape
  • add some twine to the clip for some decoration

 Tip:
  • Using a long tag and some patterned paper is a fun and easy way to decorate a simple paper bag.
