Hello and welcome to the first day of our MFT October Release Countdown. Only five more days until the release. It is going to be fun and cute as always ;-)
Idea:
- I wanted to create a happy little scene with these cute penguins and use the background stamp to add some texture to the snowy shore I had in mind.
Instructions:
- stamp the background stamp onto watercolor paper with a clear sticky ink, cover it with clear heat embossing powder and melt the powder with your heating tool
- use the ink smooshing technique to add some turquoise Distress Ink to your watercolor panel
- let everything dry
- die cut a rectangle from your panel and glue it to your card base
- stamp the penguins and color them e.g. with alcohol markers
- die cut the penguins using the coordinating dies or fussy cut them
- heat emboss your sentiment onto colored card stock using white embossing powder
- die cut the sentiment with a banner die
- add the sentiment banner to your card
- adhere the penguins using foam tape
- die cut three snowflakes from glitter paper and add them to your project
Tip:
- heat embossed backgrounds can add a fun touch to your background in combination with Distress Inks
