MFT & Friends * September Release

Yay! It's release day at My Favorite Things and we're celebrating it with some very talented crafty friends!

I combined one new die set with one new stamp set and I just love how you can mix and match all the goodies to get more out of your supplies.

I started with the background and did some super simple ink blending using the Micro Cloud Edges stencil and some masking tape to mask off the ground. I kept it really basic and light, so the bold colors of the stamped images and the die cut would would totally pop against the simple background.

Next, I die cut the Sending Christmas Joy die and glued the background piece to my card base. I was very careful not to loose the little pieces that go into the R, A and D to not have any gaps in my background. Then, I glued the letters from the sending word back into place using liquid glue. Next, I added the letters for the joy with foam tape. To create the colorful Christmas word, I had to die cut it four times from four different kinds of colored card stock. I set the leftover letters aside for another project and glued the ones I needed into place.

Now, I did some stamping and coloring as I often do. I used Graph'it alcohol markers, matching paper and ink and the coordinating dies for my two images. I colored everything matching the colors from the Christmas die cut and adhered the tree and Santa to my card using foam tape again.

I hope you got inspired and want to see more wonderful projects!

We have so much more for you to see. Check out the MFT Blog for loads of inspiration by the Design Team and our friends.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day,
Nicole
