Merry & Bright * MFT Card Kit (2)

Hi there and welcome to the September Card Kit inspiration countdown. Only two more days until the release. Yay!

Todays card shares a quick and fun idea on how to incorporate blue and green patterned paper. I really enjoy using this kind of paper for landscapes as it adds cool texture to your project.

This cute fox is so adorable with his little scarf and his tiny paws, right? I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Graph'it alcohol markers. Then, I cut him out using the coordinating dies.

Next, I did some die cutting. I cut three trees from the green striped patterned paper from the Very Merry paper pad and the stems from kraft card stock. Next, I cut a piece of blue paper with white dots/snowflakes to size. I wanted the blue paper to be my sky and the wide open white space to look like snowy ground. Now, I glued the blue paper down and moved the trees and the fox around until I liked the layout. I glued everything down with liquid glue, except for the fox. I adhered him using foam tape.

The last thing to do was stamping a sentiment. I could have done it all in black and it would have been completely fine but I wanted to add a little twist that would connect the words a bit more with the little scene. So as you can see, I stamped the first part of the sentiment with blue ink that matched the color of the sky and the second part in black, that we already see on the fox.

We have much more inspiration for you on the MFT Blog! Hop over and have a look at the wonderful creations by my fellow Design Team members.

Nicole
