Christmas Cheer * MFT Countdown (3)

Hello and welcome to the third day of our MFT September Release Countdown. Only three more days until the release!

Today, I have the newest stamp set by Stacey Yacula to share with you. How adorable are these critters with their Christmas tree?! :-)

This card is made with just a few supplies: one stamp set and the coordinating dies, one ink pad, some watercolor markers, two pieces of watercolor paper, a water brush and a bit of glitter. But lets start at the beginning :-)

I stamped the critters and the tree onto watercolor paper and the pine tree background to another one. I used my Faber Castell Watercolor Markers to color all the pieces of my card. I started with the pine trees on the background, then I added just a tiny bit of light blue mixed with gray to create some shadows and texture on the snowy hills. I let this dry and colored all the critters and the Christmas tree before I did the sky. I painted light blue stripes for the sky with a bit too much water, that ended up (after drying) as this cloudy effect. 

I die cut all the images using the coordinating dies and adhered them to my card with foam tape, except for the Christmas tree that I adhered with liquid glue. Now, I took a white gel pen and added some details like snowflakes on the trees or dots on the mittens. I stamped a greeting in black and my card was done.
