Christmas Cardinals * MFT Countdown (4)

Hello and welcome to the second day of our MFT September Release Countdown. Only four more days until the release. Yay! Todays clean and simple card features one of the adorable Christmas Cardinals. As my last name, Vögeli, means little bird, I just love all these cute bird stamps so much.

First, I stamped, colored and die cut the bird and the branches. I used my Graph'it markers and alcohol marker friendly paper and ink. I started with a light brown and got darker to the corners to create some depth. I also used colored pencils to get the shadows even darker.

After the coloring was done, I die cut the three stamped images using the coordinating dies. I glued the branches to the card base and added the bird with foam tape. Then, I stamped the greeting in black and tiny snowflakes in light gray (you can barely see them on the picture). I wanted to add some bling to my project, so I added Star Dust Stickles to the center of every snowflake and the little santa hat.

This card is super simple to recreate and great for making a bunch in one go. I hope you got inspired and will check out what else is coming soon.

Hop over to the MFT Blog to see what the Design Team created using the goodies.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy day,
Nicole
