Aloha! and welcome to the August Vault Release Day! This is the biggest Vault release ever! If you love all things beach and summer related, this might be for you :-)
Todays card features Polynesian Paradise and Fall Florals. The first set comes with this adorable hula girl and a bunch of super cute critters like this turtle. The second set is full of beautiful flower stamps, mostly solid ones that are great for backgrounds, scenes and much more.
I started by stamping the little lady and the turtle with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto alcohol marker friendly paper. I'm totally into my new alcohol markers called Graph'it Markers, so I did a bunch of coloring lately. I just love it, its so relaxing... I practiced coloring darker skin tones and really like how it turned out.
After the coloring process, I cut my stamped images out using the coordinating dies. If you follow me on IG, you might know that I really love to make cards with a lot of white space. As my last two cards were not clean and simple but showing a whole scene, I wanted to try a mix of both styles. Here's what I came up with. I stamped some flowers, grass and a log to create a simple scene but I left the rest of the background white. You could totally make an ink blendend background or so but I wanted to keep it super simple. I cut the panel to size and glued it to my card base. Then, I added the images to my panel using foam tape and stamped the greeting in grey ink.
