Birthday * Paper Smooches Challenge

Hi and welcome to the newest Paper Smooches Challenge! Our topic for the next two weeks is Birthday! There are so many fun images to create birthday cards. I wanted to use all the little stamps that are rarely the star of the show and make them pop.

This card is as simple as it looks. First, I stamped all the small images on my white card panel. I used an alcohol marker friendly ink and matching paper. I made sure, the elements are well spaced out. This part took quite a bit of time but I think it is worth an extra minute.

Now for my favorite part, the coloring process. I took my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and colored all the small images. I picked a color combo and tried to spread the colors evenly on my project. Meaning, I did not put a yellow envelope next to a yellow gift box for example.

For the sentiment, I went for a fun simple Best Wishes (because all my Happy Birthday sentiments were to big). I stamped it, cut it out and added it to my panel using foam tape. Then, I cut my panel to size and glued it to my white card base. For a little bling and a finishing touch, I glued down some clear sparkly sequins (which you can hardly see on this photo).

I hope you got inspired to play along. Check out the Paper Smooches Blog for more inspiration and information.

Thanks a lot for stopping by!
Have a wunderful day,
