Hi there and welcome to the newest MFT kit release!
Isn't this kit just the cutest? There are so many ways to use it for a project but I wanted to do some no-line coloring.
I stamped the cute image with Grout Gray dye ink by MFT and colored it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I went in with colored pencils for details and deeper shadows. I feel like the colored pencils allow me to get into these tiny spots (e.g. of the banner) much better than the alcohol ink markers.
Next, I did the inkblending. I didn't mask of the balloon, I was just super careful with where I put the light blue ink. Then, I die cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die and added it to my card base using foam tape. I added a little die cut sentient and some sequins and my card was done.
Check out the MFT Blog to see all the details of the kit and the beautiful creations the DT made for your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
Nicole

ReplyDeleteYour card is so sweet! I guess with the kit comes some no-line card stock... I wonder if I'll gather up the courage to try this! I am so intimidated by this technique!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Yes, there is some no-line coloring paper in the kit but I often just use what is right for the medium (alcohol markers or watercolors) I use. I waited a long time to try this technique because it looked so challenging to me. But the moment I started, I was hooked and got better with practice. There are some wonderful YouTube tutorials that might help as well :-)
