Sending Sunshine * MFT Sketch Challenge 497

Hello and welcome
to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge inspiration. I challenged myself to do a bit of Christmas in July cardmaking. This cute Sun Lovin' Santa set was just perfect for it.

I started by cutting a piece of patterned paper from the Summertime Polka Dots pack to size. I did not measure it and just cut it to a size that was similar to the one on the sketch. I picked a light blue one, because I wanted it to go well with the sky background.

Next, I die cut two polaroid frames and created some super simple backgrounds. I cut a sand colored (rectangle) paper in half with my scissors, making sure I cut a soft curvy line. I glued one sand piece to the first polaroid frame and the negative piece to the other one. All was left to do was glueing two pieces of blue card stock to the back of both polaroid frames and the backgrounds were done. Easy peasy. :-)

Step number three was stamping, coloring and die cutting the images. I used alcohol markers for the coloring process and coordinating dies to cut them out. I did some super simple coloring with just two shades of every color. Then I stamped and die cut the sentiment on the same sand colored paper I used before. Now all was left to do was glueing everything in place. I added some blue crystals to add a little bling and my card was done.
