Yay! The beautiful flower release by My Favorite Things is available now!
If you visited my blog the last few days, you already know that I can't stop coloring these new flower stamps. If you think I have to color them, because I'm a Design Team member, no, it's just such a fun and relaxing thing to do. I love it!
I used the same technique on this card like the days before. I stamped my image in black waterproof ink and colored everything with Faber Castell Watercolor Markers. How do you find color combos you like? I went to Pinterest and searched for flower pictures I liked. I wanted my card to be colorful but still harmonious. The coloring itself is pretty basic. I just added a bit of color to the spot of every petal I wanted to be the darkest and faded the color out using a water brush. I did petal by petal until the whole image was done.
Next, I cut my panel to size and die cut a hello word from white card stock and a shadow from heavyweight vellum. I glued them together and added them to my card. I completed my sentiment with a heat embossed sentiment banner and a little bow of twine.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have an beautiful day,
Nicole
