I stared by stamping all five critters on watercolor paper using a waterproof black ink (Versafine Onyx Black). I colored them with Faber Castell Watercolor Markers and added details and shadows using colored pencils. I wanted a soft and simple background, so I used the watercolor markers again to paint a light green meadow and added some hand drawn blades of grass here and there.
Then, I did some simple ink blending for the sky. And all was left to do was adding a sentiment. I stamped happy birthday on a piece of green card stock and die cut it. Next, I die cut the six letters and glued them on a die cut banner to spell the birthday boys name. Now, I die cut my panel, glued it to a card base and added both banners to my card using foam tape. I added some white gel pen highlights for a finishing touch and my card was done.
