Café All Day * MFT Color Challenge 142

Hello and welcome to a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things.

I love playing with MFTs colored card stock and getting inspired by color combos. This combo is fun for masculine cards or for blue flowers with greenery... there are so many possibilities.

I love stamping, like a lot! But sometimes, it's fun to make a card just with die cutting, right?! I started by die cutting all the pieces for the coffee cup. I used a piece of vellum for the lid, so you could still see the milk froth. It's so simple and fun to assemble all the pieces. I decorated the sleeve with a stitched heart.

I wanted my straw to be striped, so I glued some left over card stock pieces to a white piece of paper and die cut the straw from it. This is a super easy way to give your die cuts a cool look. Now for the sentiment, I simply placed the hello die inside the banner die, added some painters tape to hold them in place and voilà, one die cut sentiment banner in one go. :-)

I wanted to keep the background super simple but not plane white, so I die cut the stars and left them inside the background piece. This creates an interesting but settled background for the colorful cup. Now all was left to do was glueing the white star background to a kraft card base and add the cup and the sentiment with glue and foam tape. I finished up my design with some star shaped sequins for just a little bling.

I hope you got inspired to play along! Join the fun and hop over to the MFT Blog for more information and inspiration.

Did you know MFT offers Samples  of their card stock collection? That's a great way to check out the color range without having to buy all the packs (of 15 or 25) pieces.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
Nicole
