Alphabet Dies * MFT Birthday Project

Hello and welcome to this months Birthday Project by My Favorite Things.

It's always good to have some birthday cards on hand and this time, we're creating personalized projects. I made a happy rainbow card for a friend.

The large alphabet dies are so fun to play with and personalize a card. I choose a rainbow of card stock to die cut all the letters and the flower as well. Next, I cut two stripes of warm gray (Grout Gray) card stock as well as a white card base. I glued the gray stripes to the top and the bottom of my panel and adhered the letters with foam tape. To create a pretty border between the white and the gray, I die cut two stitched ric-rac stripes and glued them in place.

I wanted the sentiment to fade in a bit, so I took the same gray card stock as before and stamped my greeting with back ink. I die cut the sentiment with a skinny fishtail die and adhered it to the card with foam tape. Now, all was left to do was putting the die cut flower together and adhere it to my card. The flower felt a bit lost without leaves, so I added some outline greenery and sparkly crystals to give my card the finishing touch.

I hope you got inspired to make a personalized card, maybe in rainbow colors as well 😊 Hop over to the MFT Blog for more inspiration and to join the fun! We love to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
