I had so much fun making this happy birthday card. This adorable little pig jumping for joy and singing Happy Birthday just makes me happy :-)
I started by stamping the pig and coloring it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Unfortunately, the pig does not look as peachy as I colored him on this photo. But anyway, I colored him with some FS-shades and added shadows with a light brown colored pencil. Then, I colored the pigs party decorations with Spectrum Noir DG-shades and colored pencils as well. I cut the cute piggy out with the coordinating die and set it aside.
For my little scene, I die cut three pieces of grass from Jelly Bean, Gumdrop Green and Sour Apple card stock. I layered them to create a more dimensional look. I also die cut the cute fence and the gate from Kraft card stock. I glued all the die cut pieces on a white card base. After glueing them down, I decided to add a bit of dimension to the sky as well. I used a blender brush, Antique Linen Oxide Ink and a cloud stencil to do so. I feel like it really helped to make this scene work.
To finish up my card, I adhered the pig with foam tape, added a black sentiment and glued down some white marshmallow sequins. I love how the pig looks so happy jumping around, ready to meet the others for a party!
