Todays card features the super sweet Birthdays Take the Cake stamp and die set. You can create lots of yummy cards and projects with this collection of sweets :-)
I stamped all the images on alcohol marker friendly paper and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. To add a bit of interest, I used colored pencils to add some depth and details like dots or stripes. Next, I did some die cutting with the coordinating dies.
To give my cakes a place to stand on, I created an ink blended tablecloth with the Candy Stripes stencil, some masking tape and Distress Oxide Ink. This is an easy way to create a little scene in no time. To add a little something, I added a stitched die cut edge to my background panel.
I adhered my images to the background using glue or foam tape. I stamped one part of the sentiment with the same Oxide Ink I used for the background and the other half in grey, matching the coloring. I added a few clear sparkly sequins and my card was done.
