For this card, I tried something new. Until now, I wasn't lucky with masking fluids but I tried Schmincke Masking Fluid / Drawing Gum and it turnend out well :-)
I started by heat embossing the chemical particles with gold embossing powder on alcohol marker friendly paper. Then, I covered all the little dots, hearts and hexagons with the masking fluid and let it dry for quite some time. If you want to be sure it is completely dry, let it dry over night.
Next, I did some ink blending using Distress Inks. I mixed some blues and purples and left the edges of my panel white. Then, I removed the masking fluid by gently rubbing if off with my fingers. The small areas were completely white and I was very pleased with this masking fluid. By the way, it's blue (I think you can get it in white as well) and you can exactly see where you put it on your white paper.
I colored the hearts, dots and hexagons in yellow, pink and blue and die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die. I stamped a sentiment on a white scrap piece of paper and cut it out with a sentiment strip die. I glued the panel on a piece of gold glitter card stock and adhered the sentiment strip with foam tape. To finish up the card, I added some clear sparkly sequins to add a little more bling.
