Hug You * MFT Countdown (5)

Hello and welcome to the first day of our MFT January Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll take a look at all the wonderful upcoming products that will be available on January 7th.

How adorable is this set by Birdie Brown?! It's called Let's Stick Together and comes with a bunch of super cute cacti. And how fun is this sentiment?! I love it.

I started by stamping all the images in alcohol marker friendly ink (Memento Tuxedo Black) and colored them using my Specturm Noir markers. Then, I cut them out using the coordinating dies. I played around for quite some time until I found a layout I liked.

I used a low-tack tape to hold the small pieces together (photo below) while I did the background. I did some easy ink blending with Distress Ink and some making tape. Next, I added foam tape to the back of some of the cacti and glue to others while they were still sticking to the low-tack tape. This way, I could keep them in the perfect position and glue them to my panel all at once.

The only thing left was adding the sentiment. I love using colored words to my cards. I used a Distress Oxide Ink to stamp my greeting to match the turquoise flower.

I hope you got inspired. Check out what my lovely DT teamies created. Just hop over to the MFT Blog to see more new goodies that will be available soon!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy day,
Nicole

  5. Love this!! I must have this stamp set! May I ask what color numbers you used for the cactus? I love seeing images colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I own Copics as well but seem to always reach for my Spectrum Noir first. Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Thank you! This really is a super fun stamp set. Makes me smile.
I don't write down the numbers (always forget to do that) but I believe it's AG1, AG2, AG3 and AG4 for the green and MB1 up to MB4 for the brown pots.
