I love snowflakes stamps and I was super happy to play with the new Serene Snowflakes. They are just perfect for beautiful winter cards.
This background got his look by creating layers. The first layer is ink blending with three shades of Distress Oxide inks. For the second layer, I painted water dots with a paint brush and dabbed them away with a paper towel. This way, you get these light dots.
The third layer was heat embossing the snowflakes. (I could have done this last but step four was not planned.) I stamped the snowflakes with sticky clear ink and covered them with white embossing powder. I could have left it like this but I felt like it needed something more and so I stamped some snowflakes on top of the heat embossing with Distress Oxide inks. The ink that was on top of the white heat embossing was easily removed with a paper towel.
Next, I die cut the sentiment and its shadow and glued the glitter paper words to the white shadow base. I adhered the sentiment with foam tape and added a finishing touch with some sequins.
I hope you got inspired and are curious what the other DT ladies created.
