Todays card was inspired by the color combo and you can kind of see the sketch shining through a little as well. The adorable bear wanted to play Rudolph 😊
First, I stamped the bear with watercolor friendly ink and colored him with watercolor markers. Next, I die cut the reindeer antlers and colored them with the same watercolor markers. I cut out my bear image and set it aside.
I started to drew pine trees to the watercolor paper with my Faber Castell watercolor markers. I painted them very loosely, just making sure I got the typical shape (smaller at the top, wider at the bottom). Then, I went over the trees with a small water brush just to loosen up the background a bit. The trees don't have to be perfect, I went for some kind of artsy look. I also used a bit of grey watercolor marker on the bottom of the trees to create some shadow.
For my background, I did some ink blending with two shades of blue and black Distress Oxide inks. I didn't do any masking. Only the lightest blue is slightly touching the trees wich gives the forest some kind of glow. I only added black ink on the top of my card to create some depth and interest.
To finish up my card, I sprinkled some liquid glitter and water on my background panel, added the bear with foam tape and stamped a little black greeting.
