SugarPea Designs * October Mix It Up Challenge

Hello there, today I have some Sugar Pea Mix It Up challenge inspiration for you.

I'm making a lot of christmas cards right now but I really enjoy fall at the moment. I love the colors, the cozy blankets and the herbal teas... This months challenge inspiration matches my love for fall just perfectly.

I started by stamping my sentiment first on some watercolor paper. Because this paper (even the smooth ones) often has some texture on it, it is helpful to use a stamping tool as the MISTI because you might have to stamp several times to get a crisp impression. Then, I started to randomly stamp my little fall images around the image and towards the upper left and lower right corner.

Next, I taped my panel on a wooden boar with painters tape and started coloring with watercolors. This was just so relaxing, I absolutely enjoyed this part the most. After everything was dry, I did some ink blending and cut the panel to size. I glued it to my white card base and decided to add small hearts with Distress Oxide Antique Linen.

We'd love to see you play along! For a chance to win a gift certificate to the SugarPea Designs store and for more informations visit the SugarPea Designs Blog

I hope you play along. We love to see what you create!

Have a sweet day,
