Hi there, welcome to the Honey Bee Stamps Holiday Release Hop!
I'm very happy to be a Guest Designer for Honey Bee Stamps again and I'd love to share some inspiration with you. My first card features the wonderful Layered Snowflakes dies and the amazing winter word die and stamp sets.
First, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide Inks. But the background turned out to bold for what I had in mind, so I covered it with vellum and loved the soft look it created. I did not glue down the vellum yet because I wanted to hide the glue behind my die cuts.
🐝
I die cut some snowflakes from white card stock and vellum. I also die cut the winter word three times and glued the die cuts together to make the word stand out more. I moved the word and the snowflakes around (for quite some time) until I liked the layout. Then, I glued everything down on the vellum panel.
To complete my sentiment, I heat embossed the two little words on some light gray card stock using white embossing powder and a clear sticky ink. I cut them to size and adhered them to the vellum using foam tape.
Next, I added tiny dots of glue behind the words and the snowflakes to adhere the vellum to the ink blended panel. To finish up my card and to add a bit of bling, I glued down some clear sparkly sequins.
🐝
Here are some more cards I made with the wonderful new release.
