SugarPea Designs * September Mix It Up Challenge

Hello there, I have some Sugar Pea Mix It Up challenge inspiration for you.

I started by masking off two thirds of the card with masking tape and did some ink blending with Distress Oxide inks. Next, I spritzed the dark blue sky with water to create some interest and the look of snowflakes or stars in the background. Then, I painted little white dots with a gel pen and some larger ones with Start Dust Stickles (glitter glue) and let it dry.

I stamped the bear from Hey Winter and the tree on alcohol marker friendly paper and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. There are coordinating dies available for this set but I wanted to mix things up a bit and cut them out by hand just on the edge of the stamped image.

I adhered the bear and the tree to my card with foam tape and added some white gel pen dots to the tree and the scarf. Next, I die cut a tiny star from glitter card stock and glued it to the top of the tree. This tiny star makes this scene more christmassy. You could totally do this without the star and maybe with more than one tree and you have a simple winter card.

For my last step, I stamped the sentiment from the beautiful Oh So Jolly Sentiments set and added some glitter glue to the snow where the bear is sitting.

We love to see what you come up with. You'll also get a chance to win a gift certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. You can find all the informations and the rules on the SugarPea Designs Blog

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a sweet day,
Nicole
