STAMPtember * SugarPea Designs

Hello there and welcome to SugarPea Designs & Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release.

This is a limited edition stamp set that is only available at Simon Says Stamp. I'm one of the lucky ones that got to play with it already and it was so much fun. I don't know what it is about houses but I love them for cards... they are so versatile.

I decided to go for a winter card but you can do so much more... I stamped the houses and colored them with soft pastel colors using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I went for a rainbow color combo just because I love it so much.
Next, I made my background. I masked off the top and bottom part of my panel to get the ink only where my sky should be. I used Distress Oxide Inks and some blending tools to create my sky. After that, I spritzed it with water and drew some white gel pen dots on it. I stamped and cut out the sentiment and assembled my card. I really love how these houses pop in front of this snowy night sky.

  1. I was so excited to see your card when I was scrolling through the SSS blog! I recognized your style right away. The ink-blended snowy sky is great, and the crisp pastels look so good against it.
