Hi there, I'm happy you're stopping by :-)
MFT opened the vault again and has some wonderful oldies but goldies turned into newbies for you! I'm sharing a one-layer card using the Sunflower Sweetheart stamp set. Isn't this girl the cutest? And the birds are so adorable.
I was in the mood for a relaxing coloring session, so I stamped all images in a very light gray ink (Grout Gray by MFT) and started adding color with alcohol markers. There are different ways on how to do this, but I often start with the lightest color. I add a darker shade, blend them, add another darker shade, do some blending and so on. I love using colored pencils for details like hair or grass. I just color over the alcohol markers and if I make mistakes, I can still erase the colored pencils.
I also like adding details with a white gel pen like I did on the little girls dress. Sometimes, critters or people look a bit strange with the no-line coloring technique. I find that adding black eyes with a black gel pen really help to bring the characters to life. Make sure you add the black gel pen at the very end of your crafty process, so you don't smear the ink over your project. Ask me how I know. To finish up my card, I die cut it with a stitched rectangle die and glued it on some green card stock. My sentiment is stamped with a crisp black ink.
