to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge inspiration.
I have some night sky inspiration for you today but the possibilities with our newest sketch are endless. I love what my Design Teammates created, you should totally check out their creations :-)
The circle on this sketch reminded me of a big bright moon. The card I made could work well as a halloween card but you could also make a similar one with a sunset and birds or butterflies instead of bats.
First, I die cut a circle from masking tape and put it on a piece of paper. Then, I did some ink blending using Distress Oxide inks. To give my background a bit more interest, I added water splatters and splatters of white paint. I removed the circle mask and let everything dry.

In the meantime, I stamped the cat with a light brown ink, colored it with watercolor markers and cut it out. I also did some die cutting to give my background piece some kind of frame, just like you see it on the sketch.
For my sentiment, I went for white heat embossing on heavyweight vellum. I added it to my panel using mini staples. Before I assembled the card, I stamped two bats with a crisp black ink. You can't really see my last step on the card but I added some glitter glue to the sky for some bling.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
Nicole
