to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge inspiration.
It's always nice to have some birthday cards in your stash and I thought, it's even better to make two in one go.
I started by picking a pink, a turquoise and two yellow pieces of card stock. Then, I stamped the five candles in a darker ink shade on the pink paper and did the same with a darker turquoise and the turquoise paper. Because I used Distress Oxide inks, I let them dry for some minutes.
While the candles were drying, I die cut the flames and the little hearts from the two yellow papers and glued them together. Next, I die cut the candles and arranged them with foam tape on my card. I stamped the greeting in black and added some Glossy Accents on the little hearts.
I had some leftover candles from my first card, so I simply made another one. I stamped the birthday background stamp on white paper with pink ink and did some ink blending on top. I die cut a stitched rectangle from my pink paper and another one from white paper and glued them together like you see on the card below.
I added the candles by using foam tape. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die cut the words with a skinny sentiment strip, cut the strip apart and glued it to my card. I added some shine on the flames using Wink Of Stella but you can't really see this on the photo.
Get inspired by this weeks sketch. I turned the sketch 90 degrees. I'm curious what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
Nicole
