Birthday Fishes * MFT Sketch Challenge 456

Hello and welcome
to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge inspiration.

I started with masking off the left half of my panel with masking paper because I wanted to do some ink blending on the right. I used my Distress Inks and blending tools to create the blue part of my card. I wanted to add some interest to the background, so I stamped the birthday background with light gray ink over the entire panel. You can't really see it on the photo but it created a cool look.

Next, I stamped the little fishes on white paper and die cut them. I used the same Distress Oxide Inks to stamp the sea grass. Then, I went to color my orca. I stamped him in light gray ink and colored him with watercolors. I die cut the whale with the coordinating dies as well as a circle from vellum. I assembled my card and adhered all the animals with foam tape. I felt like it needed just a tiny bit more, so I went for some soft stitched waves using Distress Oxides again.

Join the fun and meet us at the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge for more information about how you can play along.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
Nicole
