Wish Big * MFT Sketch Challenge 448

Hello and welcome
to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge inspiration. How cool is this sketch with the three stripes in the upper left corner?! There are endless possibilities to create a fun card with this layout. Here's what I came up with.

This card might look like a super quick one but my oh my did it take some time to get the planning done. I guess, I'm overthinking from time to time. Who's with me? 😆

I cut three stripes from patterned paper and glued them to the upper left corner. First, I did this with more bold colors and I did not like how intense they were. I felt like they take away the focus from the cute critters too much. So I glued some pastel patterned paper over them and added white card stock stripes as well to add a bit more interest.

I stamped the critters, cut them out with the coordinating die and added shadows with a gray colored pencil. To match the stripes, I stamped my sentiment in the same angle and adhered the critters using foam tape. All in all, it is a quick fun card, if you don't overthink it. 😉

Join the fun and meet us at the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge for more information about how you can play along.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
