sweet friend * MFT Sketch Challenge 443

Hi and welcome to MFTs newest Sketch Challenge!

We have this fun star layout for you. I made my own stencil using a piece of scrap paper because I don't have a large star die and then, I went for a bit of tiny stamps stamping :-)

I temporarily adhered my handmade star stencil to my panel so it wouldn't move. Then, I stamped the tiny stamps with MFTs mini dye inks to fill out the star shape. Next, I went in with some Distress Ink to color the star green.

As the green star was to bold for the background I was going for, I put a piece of vellum over my entire panel. This muted the colors down just enough to make the fox and the sentiment stand out more. I used tiny staples to attach the vellum to my panel.

My cute fox and the mushroom are colored with the no-line coloring technique. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink and watercolors for this coloring process. Then, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I stamped my greeting on green card stock with a clear and sticky ink and used white heat embossing powder to make the words pop on the paper. I felt like I had to add just a tiny bit more, so I die cut some leaves and added them to my scene.

Now it's your turn to join the fun! :-) Share your creation on the MFT Blog and get a chance to win an awesome price!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a sweet day,
Nicole
