sending love * Flowers in Bloom Card Kit

Hello and welcome to another Card Kit inspiration series with products by My Favorite Things.

This months Kit comes with a wonderful flower stamp (and die) set and three watercolor powders in super cool and bold colors!

Let's start with (what I feel like) is the most easy way to use Color Burst Watercolor Powders. I spritzed some water on watercolor paper until it was really, really wet. Then, I gently added a tiny bit of powder here and there on the wet panel. These colors are super pigmented, you really don't need a lot of them. It's like adding spices to a meal but you don't want to make it too spicy. As soon as the powder gets wet, it bursts and you'll have tiny fireworks of color.

If you don't like to get messy on your craft table, I recommend working with your panel in a cardboard box. These powders are super fine, sometimes you almost can't see them and they can go everywhere.

For the panel you see on my card here, I used only one of the three bottles and added more water after sprinkling on the powder. I moved my paper around to make the color spread. After doing that, I dried my panel using a heating tool and used a stitched rectangle die to cut it to size.

I stamped the flowers on heavyweight vellum and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I added foam tape to the center of every flower and adhered them to my panel. To finish up my card, I stamped the sentiment in with black ink and added some clear sparkly sequins.

And that's what you will get in the kit. The white paper on the left ist watercolor paper.
