I can't stop playing with my watercolors and I'm always looking for fun watercolor backgrounds to combine with cute critters.
A while ago, I saw this card by Olga Matyushevskaya on Instagram and loved it a lot. It inspired me to make a watercolor stripe background. I simply painted some stripes with a flat brush, let them dry and added some lighter stripes by adding more water to the same blue color.
My cute little fishes are colored with Faber Castell Watercolor Markers using the no-line coloring technique. I used rainbow colors because they are just so much fun, right? I die cut my watercolor panel using the wonky stitched rectangle die. I felt like the wonky lines look a bit like waves and would go well with the underwater theme. To add a little interest, I added some bubbles using some dye ink.
Now hop over to the MFT Blog! We have some friends over to join us for this release day and the Design Team is rocking this inspiration week too.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
