Hi there, welcome to a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things.
I love digging through my stash, looking for ways to use fun color combos like the one for the newest challenge. This super cool boutique die set popped up and with the matching papers and Distress Inks, my card idea was born.
I die cut all the pieces I needed and added some interest with Distress Inks. I feel like the die cuts look less flat with this ink blending step. I used two stencils as well, one for the bricks on the house and one for the sky. I think I would have loved a blue sky better but I wanted to stick to the color scheme, so the weather isn't perfect ;-)
Some masking with Post-It tape and white pigment ink did the trick for the roof. The white ink helped to create the look of a two colored look. The sentiment and a brad for the door handle finished up this card.
Hop over to the MFT Blog to see more ideas and to play along! We love to see what you come up with! :-)
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
