birthday flowers * MFT Sketch Challenge 440

Hello and welcome
to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge inspiration. Birthday flowers are always good to have on hand, so I made some for my stash.

First, I turned the sketch upside down ;-) I grabbed one of my favorite flower sets (because I just love to color them) and stamped them to match the sketch layout. I used watercolor markers to color them in and created a soft background using Distress Oxides and a blending tool. I used one of the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies to add a bit of interest to my panel. I felt like there was missing a bit of color, so I glued my panel on some green card stock. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of scrap paper and I added a bit of Distress Ink on it to match the sky background.

Join our fun challenge and meet us on the My Favorite Things Blog for more information about how you can play along.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
