Today is all about watermelons. I have a cute girl and a fun die set for you :-)
For my little girl, I went for the no-line coloring technique again. I colored her with watercolors on watercolor paper. To keep her the focal point on the card, I kept the rest super simple. I masked off her feet and did some ink blending to give her some grass to stand on but that's all I did besides coloring her.
I challenged myself to give her another skin color than I normally do. I'm still not comfortable with coloring skin but I like how this little lady turned out.
For my second card, I went for a soft pastel look. I die cut the watermelon from pink and green patterned paper. I love the "watercolor wash paper pack". The seeds are cut from a dark gray card stock, black would have been to dark to go with the pastels I think. I coated them with some clear Nuvo Drops to make them shine.
The background is super simple, just some ink blending with Distress Inks and a stencil. I used a similar teal color for my word die cut to match the background. The shadow of the word die is cut from heavyweight vellum and the sentiment is stamped with Distress Oxide Ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy day,
Nicole
