Friends with Fins * MFT Countdown (5)

Hello and welcome to the first day of our MFT June Release Countdown!

I made a set of clean and simple cards using the new Friends with Fins set by Birdie Brown. Aren't these happy little critters the cutest?!

I colored my dolphins and the wale with watercolor markers and added a bit of depth using colored pencils. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For my backgrounds, I did some easy ink blending with one of my favorite stencils and I stamped the cute little fishes with Distress Oxide Ink. They are just perfect to add a bit of interest to these simple cards. The sentiments are also stamped with Distress Oxides.

I had this fun shark left from my coloring for the first cards and I wanted to play with the German word Hai which means shark. As you see, Hai and Hi look pretty similar and they sound similar as well. So I played a little with these words on my last card.

I gave my shark a fun watercolor background, a googly eye and an action wobbler. I think this is a fun card for almost any occasion and now I have one more a masculine card for my stash.

Hop over to the MFT Blog to see more new goodies that will be available soon!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy day,

Nicole

  1. The dolphin and whale cards are adorable, such lovely simplicity, and the shark card is so much fun. I love how dynamic the background and pose are together, and that googly eye is the perfect touch. The pun amuses me, too. Whoever receives that card is sure to start smiling.
