It's that time of the month where we count down to a new My Favorite Things Release Day! Let's get started by the monthly Stacey Yacula stamp set full of super cute foxes!
Last month, MFT released the "scene builder" stamp set designed by Stacey Yacula to go along all her critter stamp sets. I think this is fabulous and I used this set to give my friendly foxes a home. This card is made with watercolors and the no-line coloring technique. You stamp your images in a very light ink (I used Antique Linen Distress Ink) and color them in with the medium you like. I'm totally into watercoloring at the moment, so that's what I used. To add some details, I used colored pencils after the watercolor was completely dry. I used to stamp most of my sentiments in black but I really like the look you get with a sentiment in a color that matches your card. I feel like Distress Oxide Inks work perfectly for that.
For my second card, I went for an ink blended background using Distress Oxide Ink. I wanted a more masculine card, so I used this pretty background stamp to add some texture. This papa fox and his little one are perfect for a little fathers day scene. The coloring of the foxes was the same I did for my first card, no-line coloring with watercolors.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy day,
