Yay! It's release day for the flower silhouettes card kit at My Favorite Things!
I totally got inspired by the logo on the MFT blog (see below) and made two cards in one go.
The first card ist stamped with Distress Oxide Inks on some smooth white card stock. I started with Yellow, then Orange, Flesh and then Coral. So I went from lightest to dark. It needed a bit of "ground" but I'm still not sure if I really like the grassy border here.
Every time I stamped a color for the first card, I stamped it again for the second one. Using my MISTI made this step super easy. For the second card, I used watercolor paper and after every stamping, I spritzed the stamps with a water mister and dried it with a heating tool.
If you look closely, you'll see that the flowers are in the exact same spot and color on the top and on the bottom card. One go... two cards with totally different looks. Which one is your favorite? Clean or artsy?
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
Nicole

ReplyDeleteI really love the combination of elegant, beautiful images with snarky sentiments, so these are right up my alley. And I might need to make about 20 of the "Let's pretend it's still your birthday" ones. Thanks for the fun ideas.
ReplyDeleteSweet and fresh, gorgeous projects! Love the comparison from the crisp and clean images vs. the loose watercolor look.
