Hello and welcome to a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things.
I have a clean and simple card for you using Distress Inks as my coloring medium.
I stamped my flower with Distress Ink and then masked it off to stamp my flowers. Masking is such a fun and simple way to create the look of layers even on a one layer card like this. Using a waterbrush, I started coloring my image. The water activates the stamped Distress Ink and I get a soft first layer of paint. To add some depth to the petals, I smooshed some Distress Ink on my glass mat and picked it up with my water brush. I added so many layers until I liked the result. I did the same with the leaves. I like to spice up my stamping by using another ink color than black.
The Design Team played with this color combo and has some awesome inspiration for you on the MFT challenge blog. Hop over, get inspired and join the fun :-)
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a happy day,
Nicole
