I love books and I love the "our story" stamp set by My Favorite Things. And that lovely window die cut just inspired me to make a little living room scene.
Because a special persons birthday is coming up, I wanted to create a special card. She's a bookworm and she works in a book store, so the theme of her birthday card was obvious 😉.
I wanted to create a window card but not the ususal one, so I doubled it up. That pretty window die was just perfect and worked so well from the inside and outside of the card. I put a piece of acetate sheet between the frames to make it look like window glass.
The wonderful sentiments helped me to tell a little story. The first one tells us something about the person (she's a bookworm), the second one tells us about the occasion (it's her birthday) and the last one is what I wish for her (a relaxed day and a good book).
I used colored pencils to color my immages. The floor is made from a patterned paper by MFT and I did a little shading with distress inks and a sponge dauber. It's just a small step in the whole process but I think it makes a difference.
